Introducing Clarke’s biggest project to date (m2 coverage); Unilever’s Honey and Hive buildings in the Eden Campus, London, delivering for McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd.
With a total Façade coverage of 16,600m2 comprised of traditional, Unitised, and Curtain wall facade systems. Eden Campus is a major mixed-use development in Kingston Upon Thames, set to be occupied by British-Dutch multinational consumer goods company Unilever.
The overall masterplan includes 363,000 sqft (GEA) of offices, a tall residential building and a flexible building providing parking for 354 cars (30% electric charging facility) and 450 cycle spaces. Eden Campus will sensitively integrate into the local context, respecting the historic townscape of Kingston with all four key buildings situated within a high-quality green urban setting, designed by award-winning landscape architects Gillespies.
Clarke is integrating carbon-effective solutions via chain suppliers to ensure a sustainable approach is in line with the client’s aims. Wicona’s ‘Hydro Circal’ aluminium made with a minimum of 75%recycled, post-consumer scrap has a carbon footprint among the lowest in the world at 2.3kg CO2p/kg of aluminium. The final facade CO2 savings upon completion will total 921 tons.
